The fabric that
only gets better
A linen-cotton blend with a rustic weave and a smooth feel — crisp and cool like linen, strong and easy to wash like cotton. Cut to the yard, in the colors you actually want to sew with.
Regular or yarn dyed?
Same blend of fibers, two different characters. One is a smooth, even solid. The other weaves two colors of yarn into a soft homespun texture.

Linen Fabric By the Yard
A little sturdier than quilting cotton, softer than upholstery fabric. The one we reach for for embroidery and cross stitch.

Yarn Dyed Linen By the Yard
Yarns are dyed before they're woven, so the color has depth and a subtle cross-weave heather you can see up close.
Start with a color
All solid colors of premium linen fabric are 55" wide, $12.49 per yard.
All 15 yarn dyed shades are 43" wide, $15.49 per yard. The cross-woven yarns give each color its heathered depth.
How we like to use it
Napkins, throw pillows, curtains, tote bags, and easy summer clothes.

A quick buying guide
Why a blend?
Our blend pairs linen's crispness and coolness with cotton's strength and flexibility. You get a medium-weight fabric that's sturdier, more drapeable, less prone to wrinkles, and easy to wash.
How much do I need?
Fabric is cut to order: one yard of the 55" linen is 55" x 36", three yards is 55" x 108". A set of four dinner napkins takes about a yard; a simple shift dress takes two to three.
Best for embroidery
The even weave holds a hoop beautifully and takes both hand and machine stitching. Pair it with a cutaway or no-show mesh backing when you're stitching a dense design.
Washing & care
Machine wash cold and tumble dry low. Prewash before you cut if the finished piece will be laundered often, and press while slightly damp for the crispest edges.
