A quick buying guide
What exactly is tulle?
A fine, lightweight diamond netting made from 100% polyester. It holds its shape when gathered, resists snags, and keeps its color wash after wash — the classic choice for anything soft and voluminous.
How much do I need?
A child's tutu takes about 20 yards of 6" roll; a full table runner uses roughly 5 yards of a 54" bolt. When in doubt, round up — leftover tulle always finds a project.
Bolt vs. roll widths
Reach for a 54" bolt when you want full, flowing coverage — drapes, overlays, skirts. Choose a 6" mega roll for tied and gathered work like pom-poms, bows, and wreaths.
Caring for tulle
Spot clean or hand wash cold, then hang to dry. A cool iron with a pressing cloth relaxes fold lines. Skip the dryer — the netting keeps its crispness best in open air.

Used this item to spruce up a wedding gown for a client. She wanted blue added to her wedding gown. I started out with 2 yards under the top peplum and decided to use the other 18 yards.

A lot of fabric for the money. I use it in the garden---over plants that need something to break the sun's rays. This fabric is polyester, and unlike nylon tulle, polyester can hold up in the sun.
