Natural (Ivory No. 12) is the soft, unbleached cream of traditional cotton sashiko. It is gentler than bright white on indigo and denim and gives an heirloom look to quilts, table linens and boro mending. Our 20/6 sashiko thread is made in Japan from 100% natural cotton. The medium thickness is ideal for the iconic "rice grain" running stitch. Unlike embroidery floss, it is non-divisible and twisted to resist fraying, with a soft, matte finish.
