Strong spun polyester on large cones — 40 weight, 2 ply (Tex 27) — designed for serger and overlock machines. Each cone holds 2,750 yards (2,515 meters).

Sergers pull from four cones at once and run fast, so cone size matters more here than anywhere else in sewing. At 2,750 yards you get through a lot of seams before a change.

Spun polyester combines polyester's strength with the soft touch and sheen of cotton, which is why it works as a multi-purpose thread across every fabric — including lightweights, where a heavier thread would pucker the seam.
