Each set gathers a coordinated group of our 100% long-staple mercerized cotton thread at 50 weight, 3 ply. Every spool holds 1,000 meters (1,100 yards) — around five times what most brands wind onto a spool.

The point of a set is that the colors already work together. Tonal groups give you the shades of one family for shadowing and blending; the mixed assortments cover a whole quilt top without you having to guess which reds sit well beside which greens. It's the same thread we sell by the single spool — low lint, smooth matte finish, and it fits almost all home and industrial machines. Good for piecing and quilting, and equally happy doing general sewing, applique, serging, and embroidery.
